Lawhorn Scouting Base

Nestled between the pristine Flint River and historic Pine Mountain in Georgia, the Lawhorn Scouting Base presents the summer adventure at Camp Thunder.

Camp Thunder is a traditonal Boy Scout summer camp.  Featuring over 70 merit badges, troop activities, and high-adventure opportunities, Camp Thunder includes unique evening activities and adventures.

Early Discount
Before 5/25/2018 a discount of $25.00 will apply to all Flint River Council Scout ($25 Disc. at Checkout) Registrants.
Late fee
After 5/26/2018 a fee of $20.00 will apply to all Additional Adult Registrants.
After 5/26/2018 a fee of $20.00 will apply to all Flint River Council Scout ($25 Disc. at Checkout) Registrants.
After 5/26/2018 a fee of $20.00 will apply to all Non-Flint River Council Scout Registrants.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made prior to May 1, 2018 will be eligible for a full refund and names/spaces must be removed. Any Scout slots being held without names after May 1 will be released. For any cancellations made after May 1, 2018, the Camping Department must be notified. Cancellations made between May 1, 2018 and three weeks prior to arrival will be eligible to receive a 90% refund. Cancellations made 7-21 days prior to arrival will be eligible to receive a 75% refund. For any cancellations needing to be made within 7 days of arrival, a determination will be made by the camping department if any refund will be made available. Adjustments can be made to the number of Scouts and adults attending without penalty until May 1. After May 1, if the total number of adults and Scouts registered drops by more than 15% an additional 25% will be deducted from the refund amount.
