The Ini-To Lodge, Flint River Council is proud to announce that Frank Harper has been selected to assume the role of Lodge Adviser.  Frank relieves Acting Lodge Adviser Robert Sharpe, Fayette Chapter Adviser, who generously stepped up to lead the Lodge during a period of transition.  We are very grateful to Mr. Sharpe and look forward to his continued service in the Echota Chapter.

 

Frank is involved in Scouting on many levels. A member of the Flint River Council Executive Board for over a decade, Frank currently serves as our National Council Representative; Adviser for Venture Crew 120; Area 9 Vice-President for Membership and on two National Order of the Arrow subcommittees.

 

Frank has been a member of the Order of the Arrow for 39 years. As a youth, he served as a chapter chief, lodge vice-chief, and three years as lodge chief in Mowogo Lodge in the Northeast Georgia Council. As an adult, Frank has served in numerous leadership roles from the local to national levels, serving as an instructor at more than 20 national OA leadership and lodge adviser training courses, and on staff for more than 10 national OA events, including the three times as a NOAC lead committee adviser. 

 

Frank has received numerous OA honors, including the Vigil Honor, Founder’s Award and Centurion Award. He is a recipient of the national OA Distinguished Service Award and is an OA Legacy Fellow. An Eagle Scout, Frank is Wood Badge trained, and has received the District Award of Merit, Silver Beaver and Hornaday Gold Badge awards.

 

Frank lives in Newnan, Georgia with his wife of 25 years, Melissa.  Frank and Melissa have two children, Merideth and Will.  Professionally, Frank is an attorney, and is the founder of the Harper Law Firm located in Fayetteville, Georgia.
