Kayla Smith, Office Assistant
Kayla is a graduate of Georgia State University with a BS in Public Policy, and has a strong passion for serving the community.  Kayla comes to us with a great deal of experience in working with youth programs and a background in non-profit program development.  Kayla enjoys volunteering with different organizations and cultivating the lives of today's youth.

Kayla is a native of Peoria, Illinois and is glad to call Georgia her home.  Away from her time working or volunteering, Kayla enjoys spending time outdoors with her two dogs, hiking and exercising.

Kayla says she looks forward to serving the Flint River Council and is excited to be joining the great community of volunteers.





Andrea Strawn, Camping Program Specialist
Andrea grew up in Griffin, GA and was very active with sports, 4H, Girl Scouts and Venturing.  Andrea volunteered regularly with Troop 77 and later founded Crew 77.  Andrea enjoys horseback riding and participated in several rodeo associations.  Andrea loves spending time with her family including her husband Daniel and their 3 children Abbie Grace, age 6, Anna Marie, Age 4 and Daniel the 3rd, age 1, also affectionately known as D3.  As a family, they enjoy camping, canoeing, kayaking and just being outdoors.  Andrea has worked with the Scoutreach program in the Flint River Council and was the Waterfront Director for Summer Camp 2017.  Her time at camp this past summer instilled a great passion for our camp, the Gerald I. Lawhorn Scouting Base.  Andrea says she is very excited to be a part of the Flint River Council team.
