Lodging

If you want to get away to the great outdoors we have a place for you. If you Enjoy the wilderness then we have 2400 acres of pristine woodland hills with a spectacular view of the magnificent Flint River to a primitive area along the river for you to stay. For those of you who want to have some amenities, you can bring your own tent and use our shelters, showers, and restrooms. If all you want is to bring your sleeping bag and food we have that as well. If more of the comforts of home is what you crave then we have that for you! Enjoy over pristine outdoors and get away for recharging and replenishing yourself then come on down.


Where: Gerald I. Lawhorn Scouting Base

When: This is available year round and the dates are set when a group calls in to make the reservations for themselves.

Who: Church groups, Schools, Businesses, Youth groups, Scouts groups. Ages 11-18 Years and adults.

Adult to Scout Ratio: Minimum 2 adults, with a 1 adult to 10 youth ratio.
