Fishing

Gerald I. Lawhorn Scouting Base is the perfect place to bring your Scouts to work on their fishing skills, with three lakes and 3 miles of river frontage you are bond to catch your fill of fish.


When: This is a year round program.

Where: Camp Thunder - Lake Ini-To (main lake) and the Fishing Lake located at the council ring.
Lawhorn Scout Base - Lake located behind indoor climbing wall and the Flint River.

Who: Any registered Scout unit.

Requirements: Visitors unless campers all ready registered with the camp must receive a permit from the Ranger.

Lake Fishing - All bass caught in the lakes are catch and release, limit of 2 fish per person on all other types of fish.

River fishing - All person 16 years and older must posses a valid Georgia Fishing license and follow all state rules and regulations concerning fishing.
