Buckskin Program
The purpose of the Buckskin Program is to provide a structured, basic skills, summer camping program to fulfill the needs of the first year camper following the First Class emphasis program.
Objectives:
The Buckskin program is designed to prepare new Scouts for the requirements of Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class ranks. Also included in the program is instruction on First Aid and Swimming Merit Badges. Your Scouts will be organized using the Patrol Method. They will either be in their own patrols or introduced to other Scouts and form new patrols for the Buckskin Program. The units are to provide an adult to accompany the Patrols each day. This is a full day program - Monday thru Friday. Scouts involved in this program will not be able to sign up for any other programs during the day except for the Fine Arts Department's Merit Badges offered between the hours of 4 - 4:50. Scouts will have special CPR instruction in First Aid Class. |
