Jacob C. is our first iPod Touch winner. Jacob is a Bear Scout with Pack 64 of Tussahaw District. Jacob said he got his Mom to go with him on a golf cart and he covered his neighborhood selling popcorn door-to-door to his neighbors.

Gus H. is our second iPod Touch winner. Gus is a Wolf Scout with Pack 279 of Fayette District.
Sales Strategy:
Gus said he covered 3 neighborhoods selling door-to-door and each sale was either a $20 or $30 sale. Gus also went to Kroger two times. Gus said he greeted customers by saying “Good Morning. Would you like to buy any Cub Scout Popcorn?” Gus said he noticed that if he went up and talked to customers they would come and look at the popcorn that was for sale and they usually bought something. He also said he always wore his uniform to sell popcorn. Congratulations Gus!
October 4 was our third iPod Touch drawing for the 2010 Popcorn Sale. So far we have 63 Scouts who have joined the $600 club.
Daniel K. is our third iPod Touch winner. Daniel is a Webelos Scout with Pack 2 of the Ronotohachi District.
Sales Strategy:
Daniel said as soon as he got his forms he started selling in his neighborhood. Daniel said “Don’t put off selling because other Scouts can cover your neighborhood which is what happened last year.” Daniel also said he put a lot of effort in memorizing the product so he was able to tell everyone about what he was selling.
Daniel’s goal is to win the council’s top seller prize of an iPad. He already has over $1,640 in sales! Congratulations Daniel!
October 11, was the fourth iPod Touch drawing for the 2010 Popcorn Sale. So far we have 73 Scouts who have joined the $600 club.
Jackson K. is our fourth iPod Touch winner. Jackson is a Wolf Scout with Pack 279 of the Fayette District.
Sales Strategy:
Jackson said he went to people in the neighborhood first because they bought popcorn from him last year and that made him think they would like some popcorn again this year. Jackson went to people he knows to sell popcorn and called relatives and sold on line. Jackson also said that he sold to his teachers from last year and his new teachers this year. Congratulations Jackson!

Sam B. is our sixth iPod Touch winner. Sam is a Webelos Scout with Pack 212 of the Fayette District.
Sales Strategy:
Sam said he made most of his sales at WalMart. He worked 2 Saturdays about 2 ½ hours each day. Sam said he would smile at the people and ask them if they would like to support Cub Scouts and buy some popcorn. He also said that some people were just giving them money as a donation and Pack 212 took that donation money and bought popcorn and donated it directly to the U.S.O.
Congratulations Sam!
